I took this image at midnight in a pitch black forest. The light coming from street lights illuminated the trees through the mist and created a dreamy scene. Find me on Instagram @niiloi

I love to shoot these squirrels at the local graveyard - I’ve spent a lot of time with them and am able to get within centimeters and shoot them with a super wide angle lens. Find me on Instagram @niiloi

Sulkava Rowing is Finland’s biggest rowing event that has gathered at it’s best over 10 000 rowers to compete on a 60 km long route. This shot is taken in Sulkava too, however this particular rower isn’t competing. Just rowing and relaxing in a calm environment.

There are over 188.000 lakes in Finland, larger than 500 square metres (5,400 sq ft). As such, Finland is also known as ‘The Land of the Thousand Lakes’. It is believed that water, or fresh water to be precise, is going to be the most important natural resource of the country in the future - if not already. This picture is taken during midsummer in Sulkava, a part of the large lakeland district.
